ALGIERS – Monday, 05 June 2023 (APS) – Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, received on Sunday in Algiers, Argentinian Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Cecilia Todesca Boco, and Minister of Health, Carla Visotti, with whom he discussed ways of developing cooperation and promoting exports.
The meeting, held in the presence of Argentine ambassador to Algeria, was an opportunity to discuss commercial cooperation relations between Algeria and Argentina, and ways of developing them and bringing them up to the level of political relations between the two countries, said the source.
The two parties also assessed the level of partnership and commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries.
In this respect, the Minister stressed “the need to give a new impetus to cooperation, taking into account the assets of both countries, through the setting up of a joint economic council to identify areas of trade based on the win-win principle.”
For her part, Argentina’s Secretary of State for Economic Affairs for Economic Affairs said that her country was “seeking to increase economic exchanges with Algeria and to develop investments in the best interests of both States,” according to the source.
