ALGIERS – Wednesday, 24 May 2023 (APS) – Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohamed Abdelhafid Henni, took part Wednesday in Doha in a workshop on food security as part of the 3rd Qatar Economic Forum, said the ministry in a statement.
As part of his participation in the 3rd Qatar Economic Forum, under the theme “A New History of Global Growth,” Henni took part in a workshop on “Food security in the light of climate change and international geopolitical events and the Covid-19 pandemic,” in the presence of President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE), Sidi Mohammed Bouchenak Khelladi.
The second day of the Forum was marked by speeches by the Presidents of Ghana, Paraguay, Georgia and Bangladesh, followed by discussion sessions led by experts and personalities from different countries, in addition to the the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the CEOs of executive directors of the world’s largest firms and companies, the source added.
Important topics were discussed such as the future of inflation, the competitiveness of companies and enterprises, the economy of technological innovation, economic growth, the monetary climate, food security and the future of education and teaching, the source added.
