ALGIERS – Tuesday, 15 February 2022 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Tuesday appointed one third of the members of the Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament), the rest being elected, in line with the Constitution, the presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
“In line with the provisions Articles 121 (c) and Article 122 (band c) of the Constitution, the president of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune appointed today for a six-year term, the following members of the Council of the Nation:
Hamza Al Sid Cheikh, Walid Aggoune, Mohamed Reda Oussehla, Kaddour Berradjaa, Leila Brahimi, Rabah Beghali, Abdelhak Benboulaid, Benali Benzaghou, Noureddine Benkortbi, Djamila Boubacha, Ahmed Bouziane, Fayçal Boussedaria, Ghazi Djabri, Habib Douagui, Mokrane Rezki, Hamma Chouchane, Azzedine Abdelmadjid, Mohamed Amroune, Bakri Ghouma, Salah Laouir, Abdellah Messek, Azzouz Nasri, Aissa Naili, Nadjia Ouedjdi Demerdji, Dahou Ould Kablia, Hassan Younes.” the statement said.
