ALGIERS – Saturday, 09 December 2023 (APS) – The Ministerial Fatwa Commission reaffirmed its support for the decisions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in favour of just causes around the world, with the Palestinian cause at the top of the list.
In a statement released Thursday, the Ministerial Fatwa Commission said that its members “follow with interest what our brothers in occupied Palestine are suffering, such as injustice, aggression and massacres against women, children and elderly.”
“We voice our unwavering support to the Palestinian cause, which is of fundamental importance to our Muslim nation, and back the decisions taken by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboubne, support to just causes over the world, in top of which the Palestinian one,” said the source.
The commission’s communiqué was issued after the periodical meetings of the Commission, which began on 30 November under the theme “Jurisprudence of Calamities… Rules and Principles”. The participants focused on emergent issues raised by the national community abroad.”
The debate also addressed financial transactions, social and professional issues, and family relations, in addition to immigration and residency provisions.”
