ALGIERS –  Monday, 03 July 2023 (APS) – The International Association of the “Algerian Revolution Friends” was created Monday in Algiers, with Mujaheed and former diplomat Noureddine Djoudi as chairman and the former President of Mozambique, Joaquim Chissano, as honorary chairman.

The Constituent Assembly unanimously endorsed the members of the executive board, made up of 13 members, six of them representing countries from different parts of the world.

The founding members adopted the statutes of the International Association of the “Algerian Revolution Friends,” which stipulate that “is considered friend of the Algerian Revolution any natural person who has provided material or moral support to the struggle for the liberation of Algeria, as well as anyone who embraces the universal values of the Revolution of November 1st.

In an address after being voted chairman of the international association, Djoudi said that “Algeria will never forget the credit of those who supported it during the struggle against French colonization.”

“The association will have much work to do,” he stressed, citing in this respect the required efforts to “make known the principles of the Revolution” and the need to “support colonized peoples to wrest their liberty and independence, and mainly the Palestinian and Sahrawi peoples.”
