ALGIERS – Friday, 19 August 2022 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, on Thursday, a condolences message from his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas, following the fires recorded in the country’s provinces which caused/claimed several victims.
“President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas presented his condolences to President of the Popular and Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for the victims of the fires declared in a number of provinces in the north-east,” said the Palestinian president in message.
“We are following with great concern the news relating to the current fires in a number of provinces in the north-east of Algeria, a brother country, which have caused deaths and dozens of injuries among the children of our dear Algeria, in addition to the destruction of hundreds of hectares of forest wealth,” he added.
“We extend to your Excellency, and through you, to your government and brotherly people, and to the families of the victims, our deepest condolences. We pray to Allah to grant His mercy on the victims and a speedy recovery to the victims wounded, and to lend patience and comfort to you and to the families of the victims. May Allah protect Algeria and its brotherly people, and grant it health, prosperity and peace,” concluded President Abbas, expressing his “full solidarity” with Algeria.
