ALGIERS – Monday, 26 June 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received on Monday a telephone call from his brother, Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al Thani, who presented him and the Algerian people with his best wishes on the eve of Eid El-Adha, said the presidency of the Republic in a statement.
“President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a telephone call from his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, a brotherly country, in which he offered him and the Algerian people his best wishes on the eve of Eid El-Adha, and wished the Algerian people further progress and prosperity,” said the source.
For his part, “the President thanked his brother, the Emir of the State of Qatar, a brotherly country, for his noble sentiments, sending him, in return, his best wishes on this occasion and wishing the brotherly Qatari people more prosperity and peace of mind,” the same source added.
The leaders of the two countries further welcomed the “privileged relations linking the two brotherly countries” and agreed to “hold a meeting worthy of these fraternal relations,” the source concluded.
