ALGIERS – Monday, 16 October 2023 (APS) – A delegation from the National Council of the Sahrawi Republic visited the Constitutional Court in Algiers on Monday to inquire about the missions and workings of this institutional edifice.
As part of the visit, the Sahrawi delegation, which met with members and executives of the Constitutional Court, received a full explanation of the missions and role of this body, which is an independent constitutional oversight institution created under the November 1, 2020, Constitution.
The delegation also visited the Court’s facilities (deliberation rooms, hearing rooms, the Museum of Constitutional Justice and the library), to gain a better understanding of the institution’s organization and working methods.
This is the second group of parliamentarians from the National Council of the Sahrawi Republic to visit the Constitutional Court.
