ALGIERS – Sunday, 05 November 2023 (APS) – Members of the Higher Council for Youth (CSJ) received a delegation from the Department of External Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Saturday, with whom they reviewed ways of strengthening bilateral relations in youth-related issues.
In a statement following the audience, CSJ Vice President Abdelhalim Benbada, in charge of youth empowerment affairs, said that “this meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways to boost relations between the CSJ and the Chinese Communist Party in terms of youth-related issues.”
The Chinese delegation also learned about “Algeria’s experience in setting up the CSJ as a consultative body, and heard explanations on its missions and prospects,” he continued.
Benbada also praised the distinguished relations between the two countries, which he described as “a matter of strategic cooperation.”
The head of the Chinese delegation stressed the importance of the CSJ in training this category of society and learning about its concerns, expressing his willingness to strengthen communication with the council.”
He also spoke of the “historic relations” between Algeria and China, which this year mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
