KONYA (Turkey) – Wednesday, 10 August 2022 (APS) – Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, held on Wednesday in Konya (Turkey) talks with Palestinian Prime Minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh, to whom he reiterated Algeria’s support for the Palestinian cause.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the participation of the Prime Minister, in his capacity as representative of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the opening ceremony of the 5th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games.

On this occasion, the two officials expressed their attachment “to the deep and exceptional fraternal relations between the two countries and brotherly peoples,” and expressed their willingness to “promote bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Benabderrahmane conveyed to his Palestinian counterpart “the greetings of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune to his brother President Mahmoud Abbas and to all the Palestinian brothers,” stressing the determination of the President of the Republic to ensure “the success of the upcoming Arab Summit expected to take place in Algiers and where the Palestinian issue will be the main point.

For his part, the Palestinian PM expressed “the deep gratitude of the Palestinian people and leaders to Algeria for its unwavering support to the Palestinian people and their just cause, and to President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune for his unceasing efforts to achieve Palestinian reconciliation.
