ALGIERS – Saturday, 17 June 2023 (APS) – The Algerian Public Television Company (EPTV) won two prizes at the 23rd Arab Radio and Television Festival of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), which wrapped up on Thursday evening in Tunis, organizers said.
The Algerian program “Men Falastine” (from Palestine) won first prize in the “Documentary Films and Programs on the Palestinian question” (Documentary film program) category, while the soap opera “Addama” received the second prize in the “Social series” (Drama) category.
Dozens of television and radio works from various Arab countries were entered for the 23rd Arab Radio and Television Festival, organized by ASBU on 12-15 June under the slogan “Celebrating Arts and Culture.”
Since its creation in 1969, the pan-Arab ASBU organization has been working to boost cooperation between Arab broadcasting organizations with a view to developing the content of their audiovisual productions.
