ALGIERS – Monday, 11 December 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, said on Monday that the State’s social policy should be strengthened over the next period, thanks to the application of measures relating to the increase in salaries and the reduction in tax charges from early 2024.
In an speech to participants in the international seminar on “social achievements and economic challenges”, held at the Abdelatif-Rahal International Conference Centre (CIC) and delivered by Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, President Tebboune referred to “the positive results to be achieved following the entry into force of the new investment legal system and the completion of the investment process,” in addition to the progress made in the implementation of major strategic projects to exploit mineral resources and develop basic infrastructure throughout the country,”
This dynamic “will be further strengthened with the completion of the strengthening of the legal arsenal, notably through the revision of the Commercial Code and the Insurance Act, the drafting of the new bill on public-private partnerships, which will embody an innovative vision in terms of financing infrastructure projects, and the continuation of the global digital transformation programme, notably in public services,” he added.
The President of the Republic said that “all these programmes are essentially aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens and strengthening their place as a key element in development policies, as part of an approach based on sustainability and justice.”
