ALGIERS – Friday, 08 December 2023 (APS) – The commemoration of the 63rd anniversary of the 11 December 1960 demonstrations is a glorious moment from which Algerians will draw strength and determination to continue building the new Algeria which, four years after the election of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is “making steady progress” in a climate of security, stability and peace, stated the magazine El Djeïch.
The day of 11 December 1960 is also an opportunity to “renew our oath to our ancestors, to follow the path they laid down and to preserve the legacy so that our memory, and that of young people in particular, always recalls our country’s glorious past, from which we will draw the strength and determination needed to continue building the new Algeria”, four years after the election of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the supreme magistracy, is advancing with sure steps in the right direction at different levels and in all fields in a climate of security, stability and tranquillity,” El Djeïch stressed.
In its editorial entitled ” Algérie nouvelle, orientation nationale et positions honorables,” the magazine notes that “nothing will slow down its progress, as President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, underlined in his speech during the meeting he chaired with economic players at the end of the Entrepreneurship Days organized last month.”
The El Djeïch editorial goes on to say that these soldiers, who “have always set a shining example of resistance, determination and cohesion, continue today, with the same spirit of commitment and dedication, to carry out their noble mission of preserving Algeria’s security and stability.”
Furthermore, the publication noted that “in a world marked by instability, in an international and regional context imbued with fears and tensions reflected in an exceptional, complex and sensitive situation, this month of December also coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which the world is commemorating this year while witnessing, in deafening silence, the odious crimes and immoral massacres perpetrated by the Zionist entity against the defenceless Palestinian people.”
“In total violation of international law and international humanitarian law, it (the Zionist entity) is targeting children, women, the elderly and hospitals, in a veritable war of extermination, with the aim of forcing the Palestinian people into exile, in defiance of the most basic rights,” the magazine lamented.
“This appeal reaffirms, once again, our country’s unchanging position with regard to this deep wound in the body of the Nation, which will always remain a source of interest and concern for the Algerian State, which has never renounced and will never renounce its principles and its constant positions in favour of just causes in the world, first and foremost the Palestinian and Sahrawi causes.”
