CONSTANTINE – Thursday, 26 October 2023 (APS) – The 2nd International Agriculture, Agri-Food and Packaging Exhibition (Agrest-Expo) kicked off Thursday at Ahmed Bey hall in Constantine with the participation of 157 Algerian and foreign exhibitors.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by the governor of Constantine Abdelkhalek Sayouda who visited various stands presenting raw, processed and packaged agricultural products, chemical products for agricultural use, and industrial equipment, part of which is exported to African countries.
In a statement to the press, Sayouda underlined that many products that were imported are now manufactured locally by young experts and national companies, considering Agrest-Expo as an opportunity for meeting and complementarity between the farmers and industrialists and for presenting the public support mechanisms as well as offers of banks and insurance companies.
According to the commissioner, the Exhibition, which will be held until Sunday, will be marked by the participation of public and private national companies, 40 foreign brand representatives from several countries, including China, Turkey and Italy.
The number of exhibitors increased by 25% compared to the first edition, according to the event’s organizers, due to the investors’ increasing ambition and the improvement of the business climate thanks to the new incentives granted by the State.
