ALGIERS – Thursday, 05 October 2023 (APS) – The Head of the Tunisian government Ahmed Hachani stressed Wednesday, in Algiers, the convergence of positions and views of the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Tunisian counterpart Kaïs Saïed on several regional and international issues of common interest.
In a statement to the press after the audience granted by the President of the Republic, the Head of the Tunisian government said that the meeting was “a happy opportunity to enquire about the vision of President Tebboune concerning the strengthening of brotherly ties and the Algerian-Tunisian cooperation, as well as his positions on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, which are in line with the Tunisian President’s positions and views.”
He said that this meeting falls within the framework of his visit to Algeria at the head of a high-level delegation participating in the 22nd Algerian-Tunisian High Joint Commission for Cooperation, adding that he conveyed greetings to President Tebboune from his brother President Kaïs Saïed.
The meeting took place in the presence of Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, Chief of Staff at the Presidency of the Republic, Ennadir Larbaoui, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning, Brahim Merad, and Algerian Ambassador to Tunisia.
