ANNABA – Saturday, 12 August 2023 (APS) – On Saturday, Prime Minister Aimene Benabderrahmane inspected the “Sider El Hadjar” steel complex in Annaba, where he called on workers to make every effort to restore the reputation of this facility.

Benabderrahmane listened to a presentation on the complex’s missions and its role in the national economy, particularly in the energy and industrial sectors.

On this occasion, he urged the complex’s workers “to make every effort to restore the reputation of this complex, which has suffered from mismanagement, and to take matters into their own hands,” reassuring them of the State’s support “by all available means.”

Recalling that this complex, the first in Africa, has been supported by the State in several stages, the PM affirmed that it was in a position to take up the challenge and contribute to the rail industry.

For his part, the complex’s CEO, Manaa Lotfi Kamel stressed that “Sider El Hadjar” represents a balance in the national economy, stating that workers and social partners are aware of the challenges ahead, and praised the State’s long-standing support.
