ALGIERS – Wednesday, 26 July 2023 (APS) – The Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning, Brahim Merad affirmed Wednesday in Algiers that all the forest fires recorded recently in several of the country’s provinces had been contained.
While installing the multi-sector commission in charge of considering compensation claims for victims of recent forest fires, Merad assured that all the fires recorded in several of the country’s provinces had been contained.
He stressed that the last outbreak has been extinguished on Wednesday afternoon.
On this occasion, the Minister renewed his sincere condolences to the families of the civilian and military victims, and observed a minute’s silence and reciting the Fatiha of the Holy Quran in their memory.
