ALGIERS – Monday, 03 July 2023 (APS) – President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune held Sunday a phone conversation with the Italian President Sergio Mattarella on the strong bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and ways to strengthen them, the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
“President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune held today a phone conversation with the President of Italy, friendly country, Sergio Mattarella, on several points including the strong and rooted bilateral relations between the two friendly countries as well ways to strengthen them,” according to the source.
Tebboune and Mattarella discussed “the possible participation of the President of the Republic in two major events, scheduled in July and November in Italy,” said the source.
The two presidents discussed also “regional and international issues of common interest, affecting the region and its stability, as well as the Algerian mediation in the Ukrainian-Russian issue.”
