ALGIERS – Sunday, 18 June 2023 (APS) – The 54th Algiers International Fair, to be held in June 20-25, will bring together 473 Algerian and 165 foreign companies, representing 30 countries, the minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, said Sunday.
The minister, in a news conference he held jointly with Italy’s ambassador in Algeria, Giovani Pugliese, whose country is the guest of honour, said the economic event, held under the patronage of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the Exhibition Centre of Algiers under the theme “Algeria: Vision and New Prospects,” will be attended by African, Arab, European, Asian and Latin American countries.
Italy will be represented in the event by 13 exhibitors operating in the sectors of energy and renewable energies, industry, building, basic infrastructures, information and communication technologies, maritime transport, agriculture and services.
In addition to foreign companies, 473 national exhibitors (157 public and 316 private companies) operating in electronic and electric, household appliance, food-processing, chemical, petrochemical and mechanical industries as well as craft and building industry, public works and services are taking part in the event.
The ministry of National Defense will take part in the Algiers International Fair with 19 establishments, representing economic production units operating in the mechanical, textile and shipbuilding industries.
