EL MEGHAIER (Algeria) – Wednesday, 09 November 2022 (APS) – The minister of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning, Brahim Merad, on Tuesday said the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, had expressed a strong political will for a local sustainable development.
During a working and inspection visit to the newly-created province of El Meghaier, Merad stressed the “strong political will expressed by the president of the Republic to achieve local sustainable development, with permanent support to those creating wealth and jobs.”
The minister cited the instructions given by President Tebboune to support farmers and address their concerns, especially those relating to water and power supply, storage and marketing.
The minister emphasized the steps taken to bring citizens closer to decision-making centres and make them “real partners in local development,” citing in this regard the most relevant mechanisms, such as the National Observatory of Civil Society and the Higher Council for Youth.
