CANCELLATION OF COVID-19 SANITARY MEASURES
The Embassy of Algeria to Croatia informs all members of Algerian Community established in Croatia, and all the travelers to Algeria of other nationalities, that it has been decided to cancel vaccination certificate and PCR test upon entering the national territory.
VISAS
Visa applicants must reside in Croatia.
- Documents to be provided for any type of visa:
- Visa application form, filled in electronically in duplicate;
- Passport valid for more than six (06) months from the date of submission of the application;
- Two (02) recent identity photos, identical and in 3.5 x 4.5 format;
- Proof of residence (for foreign nationals residing in Croatia);
- Travel insurance certificate covering the accident and repatriation (covering costs of at least 30 000 euros);
- Copy of the return plane ticket or ticket reservation;
- Confirmation of accommodation reservation (hotel, etc.).
- Depending on the type of visa, attach the following documents:
Service and courtesy visas:
- Service passport or special passport, or valid ordinary passport,
- Verbal note
Press visa:
- Specific press visa application form, in three (3) copies, correctly completed and signed
- Cover letter from employer media
- Copy of press card
- Possibly, an invitation letter from the Algerian partner
Family visa:
- Document proving the applicant’s family link with the person or family who will host him.
Business Visa:
- Employer letter providing a brief presentation of the company and stating job title or position of the applicant and specifying the purpose of the mission in Algeria
- Letter of invitation from the Algerian partner or from the inviting organization (the invitation letter must be addressed to the visa applicant(s) or company with a list of invited persons, with a clear indication of the purpose of the trip/visit, the function of the visa applicant and the specified requested period of stay in Algeria)
Tourist Visa:
- Accommodation certificate legalized in Algeria by the A.P.C (town hall) or the Police Commissariat
- or certificate from the tour operator, in the case of a group trip
- or confirmed hotel reservation
Study visa:
- Certificate of registration at a public or private educational institution approved by the State.
Work visa:
- Employer letter providing a brief presentation of the company and stating job title or position of the applicant and specifying the purpose of the mission in Algeria
- Temporary work permit (original) issued by the competent employment services
- Certificate endorsed by these same services, by which the employing organization undertakes to ensure the payment of the repatriation of the foreign worker as soon as the employment relationship is terminated.
Temporary work visa:
- Employer letter providing a brief presentation of the company and stating job title or position of the applicant and specifying the purpose of the mission in Algeria
- Copy of the employment contract, the duration of which cannot exceed three months
- Temporary work permit (original) issued by the competent services
- The temporary work visa is also issued to foreigners holding an assistance or consultancy contract concluded by themselves
Cultural visa:
- Copy of the invitation to any seminar or event of a cultural, scientific or sporting nature
- Proof of resources for the duration of the stay
Transit visa:
- Passport valid for more than 6 months with valid visa from the country of final destination,
- Proof of resources for the duration of the transit
Important indications
- Any incomplete visa application file will not be accepted.
- The processing time for the visa application file is set at 21 days;
- Visa formalities are subject to cash payment of chancellery fees;
- The amount of these fees is set at 600 kunas for any type of visa.
These visa fees only apply to holders of Croatian passports, for visa fees for holders of foreign passports, please contact our Consular Service.
- The visa application procedure requires the presence of applicant during the deposit of the visa application file.
- The passports (visas) pick-up is made by the applicants themselves or by a duly authorized person.
The Visa Service of the Embassy of Algeria in Zagreb is open:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 15:30 p.m. for submitting visa applications (depending on the pre-arranged appointment for the person concerned);
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 15:30 p.m. for passports/visas pick-up (depending on the pre-arranged appointment for the person concerned).
