ALGIERS – Tuesday, 16 May 2023 (APS) – The fourth International Exhibition of Mines and quarries opened Tuesday in Algiers with the participation of 40 public and private exhibitors from different fields of the sector.
Marked with the participation of nearly 2,000 visitors, this exhibition aims to bring together local contractors and subcontractors from various sectors, particularly in the field of exploitation and megaprojects structuring.
Sectors attending the event include auditing and engineering, ornamental stone and mineral mining, rail, power generation and energy solutions suppliers, and mining machinery and equipment suppliers.
With a total of over 1,000 mineral deposits, including iron, phosphate, zinc, gold and manganese, the sector has become a major source of income for the country.
